BURSTOW OPENS THOMAS WALL COMMUNITY HALL

8.46.00am GMT Sat 13th Dec 2008

Sutton and Cheam MP, Paul Burstow, was guest of honour at the reopening of the Thomas Wall Community Hall in Robin Hood Lane on Friday (12th December).

The Sutton Housing Partnership consulted with residents of the nearby sheltered housing and agreed a plan to expand the hall and provide a new kitchen and office. The works took three months to complete.

The hall was first opened in 1995 as part of a gift from Laing Homes and an initiative by local councillor, Graham Tope.

Commenting Paul Burstow MP said, "This hall is at the heart of a thriving local community. The investment by the Sutton Housing Partnership means the hall will continue to offer a meeting place for older people."
